A Select Association of Ladies and Gentlemen for The Practice of the English Language, under the Superintendence of Mr ApGeorge, will commence its meelings towards the end of November, or in the first wesk of December. The object of this Association is to provide a select and social field for the practice of English Conversation, and the discussion of English Topics, corresponding, as much as passible, to a private evening reception. To provide ageinst incorgruous elements, after the first formation of the Association every candidate will be eleeted by ballot. Lady Candidates will be elected by the Lady Members, only, Gentlemen Candidates will be elected by both Lady and Gentlemen Nembers, but separately, and must obtain a majority of votes from each party. For the due observance of etiquette a Married Lad;, conversant witb English, will preside over the social arrangersents, in addition to which the yeunger ladies mas be attended by their mothers, or any other female friend. The Association will meet, in private apartments, two evenings in each week, from 5 to 8, or 6 to 9 oelock; members being free to come and go just when it may suit their own convenience. Secparate evenings may be provided exclusively for Ladies should it be found desirable. All particulars may b3 obtained of the Superintendent, and Ladies and Gentiemen wishing to join the Association should make early application to bim at his residence, 61 Regeringsgatan, between 40 and 49 in tbe forenoon.
