In the LiFE DeEPArtMENT 908 Policies were issued during the year 1868, assuring 738,582, and showing new Premiums to the amount of 28,574 : 0 : 3. The Deaths during the year were 185 in number, under 206 Policies; and the claims which hag 5 övr payable on account of these, amount, with Bonus additions, to the sum of 4! : 1:06. The total AccuMULATED FUNDS as at 3lst December, 1868, were reported to be 2,838,118 : 18 : 113; and the Revesve from all sources 801,801 : 12 : 9. A Dividend of 12 per cent. and a Bonus of 4 per cent. on the paid-up Capital, or 1 per share, was declared. : After Påving, this Dividend, the resalt of the business for the year has been to add 44,452 : 14 : 7 to the Fire Reserve Fund of the Company.
