London: Day and Son (Limited). — The get up of this volume is worthy of the reputation of ?Day and Son (Limited), and we cannot pay it a higher compliment. The binding is rich, yet chaste, and the illustrations in chromolithography are as near an approach to painting as can well be conceived. And the matter is worthy of the get-up of the volume. Mr. Lloyd is an enthusiastic sportsman, but he does not allow his enthusiasm to interfere with his duties as a naturalist. His work is so exhaustive of the subject, that we feel convinced it will not only be a standard work of reference in England, but, if translated—as is certainiy will be—into a Scandinavian dialect, it will become a standard work in Scandinavia.
