Forth Clyde Navigation SCOTLAND. The recent alterations in the British Navigation Laws render it desirable that foreign shippers end ship-ow-ners should: be acyuainted with zhe facilities afforded to their trade by this navigation. This sCanal is situated in the Central Distriet of Scotland, it can be -navigated by Sea-going vessels not exjceeding 68, feet in length, 495; feet in breadth and 83, dronght of water. The mein line is :35 Miles long; it connects the East Coast witk the West Coast of Britain and givesithe means of a ready communication with Ireland. — A side Branch connects the main lire with the Gity of Glasgow which is 29 Miles from -Granrgemouth and 42 Miles from Bowling Bay. The Entrance from the Firth ef Eerth is at :Grangemouth, and from the Clyde at Bowkng Bay. At Grangemouth, the part for Glasgow from the East, there is a cagacious Wei Dock, and at Bowling Bay a Fidal Bassin, with extensive Quays aed accomodatien for
