—— AA Herbarium for sale. A valuable collection of herbs is offered for sale, being the result of the labours of Butstrom, MEDICINAL-BRATH, Stenhammar ,, Doctor Prof. in botunicks, und Ol, Carling, Prof. Member of the RBoral RBural Academy ut Stockholm, Besides the Swedish plants the collecwon of which is nearly complete, there ure among those collected Sr RButstrom, many valuable species re ceived from the learred Mr Vahl, editor of Flora Dunica, and collected by himself, during his travels rough Finland, Germany and HolJund. There are also some species, upon which Linnes own handwri Ling still remains. it consists further of a precious series of herbs from kast-Indiau and Africa, collected by Thunherg, Sparrman, Solander etc.; rom West-India, by Euphrasen, Osbeck, Ol. Swartz etc.; from Westshalia by Sehtechtendal; from NewZeeland, by Lindberg; from Sivizerland, by Schleicher; from Germany in general, by Link and Reichenbach; from America, by Vorrez; from the Levant, by Beggren und Hedenborg; from Russ, br Hedenborg and Heinmann. Linne, Willdenow and Sprengel are generally followed as to the arrangement, though there is a part as yet not arranged. The whole :s in good condition, and the plants can easily he taken outå for examination, and replaced. This Herbarium contains about nine tkousand species; besides a quantity of supernumeraries, and, as to its worth, the opinion of Bishop Agardh (formerly Professor in Botanicks at the Boral University of fund) is humhly referred to.
