Herbarium for sale. A valuable collection of herbs is offered for sale, being the result of the labours of BRutström, Med:cinal-Rath, Stenhammar, Doctor Prof. in botanicks, and Ol. Carling, Prof. Member of the Royal Rural Academy at Stockholm. Besides the Swedish plants, the collection of which is nearly complete, there are, among those collecteå by Rutström, many valuable species received from the learned Mr. Vabl, editor of Flora Danica, and collected by himself during his travels trough Finland, Germapy and Holland There are also some species upon which Linnes own handwriting still remains. It consist further of a precious series oi herbs from East-India and Africa, collected bj Thunberg, Sparrman, Solander etc.; from West-India, by Euphrasen, Osbeck, Ol Swartz etc.; from Westphalia by Schlechtendal; from New-Zeeland by Lindberg; from Swizerland, by Schleicher; fron Germany in general, by Link and Reichenbach from America, by Torrez; from the Levant, bj Berggren and Hedenborg; from Russia, by Heden: borg and Heinmann. Linne, Willdenow and Spren gel are generally followed as to the arrangement tho there is a part as yet not arranged. Th whole is in good condition, and the plants can ea sily be -ken out for examination, and replaced This Herbhbarium contains about nine thousand spe cies, besides a quantity of supernumeraries, and as to its worth, the opinion of Bishop Agardh (for merly Professor in Botanicks at the Boyal Univer sity of Lund) is humbly referred to.
